Business students to compete for cash prizes in case competition studying new Texas town
What: How can a young and vibrant town go about creating strategic plans that best meet the needs of its residents? The Town of Cross Roads, Texas — in northeast Denton County — has turned to University of North Texas students for answers. UNT students will present their business plans to town leaders and business executives while competing for cash prizes in the Northwestern Mutual Integrated Business Case Competition, held twice per year at UNT.

California Raisins star in Dining Services taste testing April 30
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- University of North Texas Executive Chef Pierre Monticolombi has created five new dishes as part of a California Raisin Board and Food Service Director magazine challenge to incorporate raisins as a healthy sweetener in university dining menus.

UNT class tackles national marketing plan for Big Brothers Big Sisters

UNT professor wins Technology Challenge Award
DENTON (UNT), Texas— University of North Texas College of Business Professor John Windsor received the Technology Challenge Award from the Association for Information Systems (AIS) at the 2012 International Conference on Information Systems.
The award was for leading an international faculty taskforce that assisted in the redesign of the organization’s website.

Student awarded $10,000 scholarship from the Texas Business Hall of Fame Foundation
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Phillip Davis of Greenville, S.C., a doctoral student in the University of North Texas’ College of Business, was honored as one of the top business students in Texas at the Texas Business Hall of Fame 30th Annual Induction Dinner in Houston last fall.
