What: University of North Texas alumnus Rick Gomez, executive director of AT&T College Recruiting, will speak to UNT students about the key to success in business leadership, and the pursuit of education. The event is part of the UNT College of Business Distinguished Speaker Series.
After graduating from UNT, Gomez began working for Southwestern Bell Mobile Systems, which became AT&T Mobility, in 1997. He has served in many positions at AT&T, including director of mergers and acquisitions, chief of staff to the senior vice president of human resources and director of merger integration for wireless acquisition. He is executive director of AT&T College Recruiting and is responsible for finding talent for AT&T management development programs.
Gomez also is involved in charitable organizations such as United Way, the American Heart Association, Teach for America and Junior Achievement.
