TD Ameritrade awards UNT $50,000, Mascot Scrappy and faculty to help ring NYSE closing bell
DENTON (UNT), Texas — The University of North Texas Financial Services Program will be awarded a $50,000 grant from TD Ameritrade Institutional as part of its NextGen Financial Planning Initiative. To celebrate the honor, TD Ameritrade Institutional will fly two UNT representatives to the New York Stock Exchange to accept the award July 22 (Wednesday), where they'll be joined by UNT's mascot, Scrappy, to help ring the closing bell.

UNT students take top prize at national logistics competition for first time
DENTON (UNT), Texas — For the first time, a group of logistics students at the University of North Texas have won first place in the Intermodal Association of North America – University of North Florida case competition. UNT ranks 3rd in Supply Chain Technology Education in nationwide study

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- In recent years, shoppers have set records for retail sales via smartphones and tablets over what has been traditional shopping seasons and weekends, such as Thanksgiving weekend and Texas' tax-free holiday in August.
