UNT Jazz Studies graduate student wins $10,000
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Drew Zaremba, University of North Texas Jazz Studies graduate student, won the $10,000 top prize in UNT's second annual Sherman/Barsanti Inspiration Awards April 7. Zaremba won for his work as founder and composer for the Unity Orchestra, a large-scale ensemble of classical and jazz musicians.

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Vishnu Dantu, a second-year student in the Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science at the University of North Texas, has been named a 2015 Barry M. Goldwater Scholar. What: Scholars from a variety of disciplines will present their poetry, film, photography and essays from their fieldwork in the Mesa Verde region.
