College of Music harp ensemble raising funds to perform on international stage
DENTON (UNT), Texas - The University of North Texas HarpBeats will perform at the World Harp Congress, one of the most prestigious honors in the world for harpists.
The HarpBeats, a 10-member College of Music ensemble, will travel to Hong Kong in July for the concert.

One O’Clock Lab Band to perform with critically acclaimed jazz vibraphonist
The University of North Texas One O’Clock Lab Band will kick off their spring season with a performance with world-renowned vibraphonist Stefon Harris, who has been called one of the most important young artists in jazz. Harris is visiting the College of Music as part of the Glenn E. Gomez Endowment concert.

UNT offering low-cost autism services
DENTON (UNT), Texas - The Kristin Farmer Autism Center at the University of North Texas is offering low-cost autism services to local families.
A $167,000 grant, awarded by the Texas Health and Human Services Commission Children’s Autism Program, is allowing the center to serve up to 28 families per year who otherwise could not afford the cost of intensive autism treatment. So far, the center has used $66,000 of the grant, helping 14 families.
