UNT Opera presents 'Don Giovanni' Nov. 6-15
What: UNT Opera presents Mozart's Don Giovanni, a two-act opera based on tale of the legendary libertine Don Juan. The production is directed by Visiting Opera Stage Director David Ward and conducted by UNT Opera Music Director Stephen Dubberly.
When: 8 p.m. Nov. 6 and 13 (Fridays) and 3 p.m. Nov. 8 and 15 (Sundays). There will be an "In The Know" lecture 45 minutes prior to each performance. The lecture, presented by Dubberly, will offer insight into the opera, its characters and the time period in which it was written.

From Tehran to Denton: UNT librarian works her way back up the ladder
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Seti Keshmiripour, the new outreach and engagement librarian at the University of North Texas, faced a tough decision when she and her husband moved from Iran to Denton in 2011.

Chronic insomnia may impact effectiveness of flu vaccine in otherwise healthy people, UNT study says
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- According to the Centers for Disease Control, each year's influenza vaccine, which is usually available by October, reduces healthy adults' odds of contracting flu by 70 to 90 percent.
However, the vaccine may be less effective in otherwise healthy individuals who suffer from chronic insomnia.
