DENTON (UNT), Texas -- The spring semester is in full swing, and the University of North Texas College of Music is offering a variety of concerts, recitals and symphonic performances. Below are a few highlights followed by a complete calendar of March performances.

University of North Texas librarian available to comment on Harper Lee’s legacy
Harper Lee, who received a Pulitzer Prize and fame for To Kill a Mockingbird, her first novel, has died at age 89. Lee’s only other work, Go Set a Watchman, was published last year as the sequel to Mockingbird, more than 50 years later.

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Drums can do more than just provide a beat. For the Anlo-Ewe people in Ghana, West Africa, they can tell stories, cure diseases, promote fertility and summon spirits.
