UNT grows to largest enrollment, sees key gains in high-quality students and remains innovative leader for North Texas
This fall, 4,908 new freshmen at the University of North Texas are learning what finding the perfect fit feels like, making it clear that UNT remains a top choice for serious students seeking a Tier One education in a welcoming and diverse environment.

What: The annual University of North Texas College of Music Gala, this year titled An Enchanted Evening - An Homage to the Leading Ladies of Broadway, is presented by Independent Bank and will feature a concert showcasing the UNT Symphony Orchestra and select student vocalists under the direction of David Itkin. A University of North Texas faculty member, a graduate student and an undergraduate student have been recognized as UNT's 2017 Innovator Award winners.
This is the second year the Office of Research and Innovation has recognized faculty and students for finding creative solutions to today's most pressing issues. The awards include cash awards or scholarships.

UNT kicks off Fine Arts Series September 13
The University of North Texas will kick off the fall lineup for the Mary Jo & V. Lane Rawlins Fine Arts Series tomorrow Sept. 13 (Wednesday) with a screening of “True Conviction” and a panel featuring the film’s director and its three stars.

Lesa Roe named UNT System Chancellor by Board of Regents
The University of North Texas System Board of Regents has selected Lesa Roe, Acting Deputy Administrator for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), as its new Chancellor. Ms. Roe's formal selection was approved by the board on Sept. 8.
