UNT Dining celebrates one year of serving customers in the University Union
DENTON, Texas (UNT) – In November 2015, the University of North Texas opened its new University Union. Nestled in the heart of UNT, the four-story, 313,000 square-foot building is twice the size of the former union. It hosts 15 retail food shops, which nearly doubled the number of dining locations across campus to 21. UNT dietician shares advice to avoid the holiday eating binge
DENTON, Texas (UNT) — The winter holidays can be a time for indulgence, with the average Thanksgiving Day meal weighing in at 4,500 calories and Christmas Day diners eating up to 7,000 calories. Those numbers are well above the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s recommended 2,000 to 2,500 daily consumption of calories. However, eating healthy on holidays isn’t impossible.

UNT engineering professor wins lifetime achievement award
DENTON, Texas (UNT) — A major honor was recently presented to Leticia Anaya, a senior lecturer in the University of North Texas’ College of Engineering. The Regional Hispanic Contractor Association presented its 2016 Women’s Luna Lifetime Achievement Award to Anaya.
