UNT students awarded for accomplishments in poetry
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Two University of North Texas doctoral students in the Department of English, Jenny Molberg and Chelsea Wagenaar, recently received awards for their poetry.
Wagenaar won the Philip Levine Prize in Poetry from Fresno State University for her book "Mercy Spurs the Bone," that will be published this November. She received a $2,000 award.

UNT Dance and Theatre offer a diverse 2014-15 season
DENTON (UNT), Texas – A diverse array of productions will be presented for the 2014-15 season by the Department of Dance and Theatre at the University of North Texas.

What: The UNT Symphony Orchestra's first concert of the fall 2014 season includes performances of Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, an orchestral work based on the tales in The Arabian Nights, and of Ginastera's Harp Concerto. Prior to the concert, there will be a Meet the Author event featuring Conductor David Itkin, whose book "Conducting Concerti" was released in August 2014. UNT Annual Ray Gough Lecture, charrette helps Serve Denton design a building to fit its needs
What: Annual Ray Gough Lecture featuring Bryan Bell, presented by the University of North Texas College of Visual Arts and Design, followed by a design charrette. The charrette, which is not open to the public but is open to media for coverage, will help Serve Denton, an organization that promotes collaboration among nonprofits, design a building that the group hopes will house several nonprofits.
