New co-directors named at Teach North Texas
DENTON (UNT), Texas – Two new co-directors have been named for the University of North Texas' Teach North Texas program, which prepares science and math teachers for the classroom.
The two new co-directors are Rudi Thompson, UNT associate professor of biological sciences, and Pamela Harrell, associate professor of teacher education and administration.
They will be replacing Mary Harris and John Quintanilla, who have co-directed the program since 2008.

Film professor can discuss appeal of horror movies for Halloween
Director Guillermo del Toro's "Crimson Peak," which hit theaters Oct. 16, is the latest horror film released a few weeks before Halloween. Set in the 19th century, the movie follows a young woman trying to decipher the ghostly visions haunting her new husband's remote mansion. What: UNT Opera presents Mozart's Don Giovanni, a two-act opera based on tale of the legendary libertine Don Juan. The production is directed by Visiting Opera Stage Director David Ward and conducted by UNT Opera Music Director Stephen Dubberly.
