University of North Texas organizes global green energy workshop
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- The University of North Texas has organized its third annual Global Discovery Workshop. The 2013 workshop, Energy Efficient Buildings and Communities, will be held May 19 – 22 (Sunday – Wednesday), in Tartu, Estonia.
The event is also co-organized by the University of Tartu in Estonia, the State University of Ponta Grossa in Brazil, and the City of Denton, Texas.

Three students named top Hispanic Communicators
DENTON (UNT), Texas — Hispanic Communicators DFW, DFW’s largest association of Hispanic/Latino journalists, has awarded three scholarships to University of North Texas students.
Cassandra Rodriguez, Rosi Linda Sanchez, and Olmar Vanegas were recognized as top Hispanic communicators at the Hispanic Communicators DFW’s banquet, and received scholarships of $1,500 to $2,000. California Raisins star in Dining Services taste testing April 30
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- University of North Texas Executive Chef Pierre Monticolombi has created five new dishes as part of a California Raisin Board and Food Service Director magazine challenge to incorporate raisins as a healthy sweetener in university dining menus.
