UNT engineer's research looks beyond paint, metals and ceramics
A UNT materials scientist is investigating a secret underneath the final layer of paint on Alessandro Allori's Portrait of Grand Duchess Bianca Capello de Medici with Her Son. The portrait, which was painted more than 500 years ago, is one piece of a story about a controversial royal family. The painting currently is being treated and studied by Paintings Conservation Fellow Laura Hartman in the Dallas Museum of Art's visible conservation studio.

UNT engineering students host STEM conference for girls, parents and educators
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- The University of North Texas Society of Women Engineers will co-host the 2016 Design Your World conference for girls in grades 6 through 12, parents and educators. What: The University of North Texas' first 3MT®, or Three Minute Thesis, competition. UNT computer science degree ranked a top return on investment by PayScale.com
