DENTON (UNT), Texas – The University of North Texas' new Eagle Express Tuition Plan is proving very popular as 2,522 eligible students opted into the program during the first week of availability.

The plan offers students an opportunity to save up to $4,000 for graduating on schedule. The Eagle Express plan locks in students' total academic costs, saving up to $3,000 in their last 15 credit hours when they graduate in four years. Additionally, students who graduate on time also may qualify for the state's $1,000 tuition rebate.

The Eagle Express Tuition Plan is available to all new freshmen and transfer students starting fall 2014. Current students have a one-time opportunity to opt-in to the plan, but will not be allowed to join the plan after fall 2014, which begins Aug. 25.
