DENTON (UNT), Texas — The University of North Texas received “Best of School” and 17 other awards in the 16th annual National Student Show and Conference.

Students from the College of Visual Arts and Design and Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism earned a total of $12,400, representing 62 percent of the total prize money awarded by the competition this year. 

The National Student Show and Conference gives collegiate designers, illustrators, photographers, writers, motion designers and art directors an opportunity to submit their work in a juried competition. Each year, the creative competition awards $20,000 in scholarships and prizes across nine categories including advertising, general design, illustration, interactive design, motion design, photography, portfolio, publication and retail. 

UNT students were recognized for their exceptional work in everything from advertising print and video to design for branding campaigns, retail packaging and mobile apps.
