DENTON (UNT), Texas ¾ University of North Texas fashion design students take to the runway with some of the most fashionable pups from Denton’s Linda McNatt Animal Care and Adoption Center. The design students will feature their latest fashion designs and help raise money to provide emergency medical care for the shelter’s sick or injured animals.

“As a recent UNT fashion design graduate, I am excited to support the Denton community,” said R’Bonney Gabriel. “As a fashion designer, this is a way for me to use my passion to help others.”

Amber Houston, UNT fashion design student, says the show is a way to use art to positively impact the lives of animals.

“This is such a great way to promote adoption and make sure these animals find forever homes,” Houston said. “Animals don't have a voice of their own and it's our job to speak out. Art is such an intense part of our social structure and can help do so many things within our community.”

Thanks to generous sponsors, 100 percent of ticket sales will be donated to the shelter’s emergency medical fund that provides emergency and specialized medical care for sick and injured pets so that they are able to be adopted.
