UNT TAMS students host free summer day camp Aug. 8

Students in UNT’s Texas Academy of Mathematics and Science are hosting a free Science Adventure Camp from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. on Aug. 8 (Saturday) in UNT’s Environmental Education, Science and Technology building located at 1704 W. Mulberry St.

The Science Adventure Camp is geared toward children enrolled in 2nd through 5th grades. Parents are welcome to accompany their children at the camp, and registration is required. Register online at tamsjets.org or by calling 940-220-9398. Lunch will be provided.

Participants should wear closed-toe shoes. Hands-on activity stations will cover topics from science to robotics.

Students in the TAMS Junior Engineering Technical Society are collaborating with UNT’s Elm Fork Education Center to host the camp.
