What: Summer commencement ceremonies at the University of North Texas
When: Doctoral and master's commencement ceremony at 3 p.m. Aug. 8 (Friday); baccalaureate commencement ceremonies at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 9 (Saturday)

DENTON (UNT), Texas – More than 1,800 students are expected to receive degrees from the University of North Texas this summer. Commencement ceremonies are set for Aug. 8 and 9 (Friday and Saturday) in the UNT Coliseum, 600 Ave. D in Denton.
The ceremony for doctoral and master's degree candidates will be held at 3 p.m. Aug. 8 (Friday), and undergraduate commencement ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 9 (Saturday). This summer, 1,221 undergraduate students, 449 master's students and 132doctoral students applied for graduation.

The undergraduate ceremony at 9 a.m. Aug. 9 will feature graduates from:
- College of Business
- College of Education
- College of Information
- Frank W. and Sue Mayborn School of Journalism
- College of Music
- College of Public Affairs and Community Service
- College of Visual Arts and Design
The undergraduate ceremony at 1 p.m. Aug. 9 will feature graduates from:
- College of Arts and Sciences
- College of Engineering
- College of Merchandising, Hospitality and Tourism
Graduates and their guests are invited to commencement receptions on Aug. 8 and 9. The reception on Aug. 8 will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. for doctoral and master's degree candidates. The reception on Aug.9 will be held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. for all the undergraduate candidates. Both receptions will be at the UNT Gateway Center Ballroom, adjacent to the UNT Coliseum at 801 North Texas Blvd. in Denton.
