What: Spring commencement ceremonies at the University of North Texas

When: Doctoral and master's commencement ceremony at 3 p.m. May 11 (Friday); Baccalaureate commencement ceremonies at 7 p.m. May 11 (Friday) and 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. May 12 (Saturday)  

Where: All commencement ceremonies will be held in the UNT Coliseum, located on the southeast corner of Highland Street and North Texas Boulevard at 600 Avenue D.

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- More than 4,000 students will receive their bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees from the University of North Texas during spring commencement ceremonies May 11 and 12 (Friday and Saturday).

Doctoral and master's students will walk across the stage at 3 p.m. May 11 (Friday). This spring, 817 master's students and 83 doctoral students applied for graduation, surpassing last spring's record number of graduate student graduations by 145. The 3,125 students receiving their bachelor's degrees will walk at 7 p.m. May 11 (Friday) and 9 a.m., 1 p.m. and 5 p.m. May 12 (Saturday).

The commencement reception for master's, doctoral and undergraduate candidates will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. May 11 (Friday) at the UNT Gateway Center Ballroom, located on North Texas Boulevard between Eagle Drive and Highland Street and adjacent to the Coliseum at 801 North Texas Blvd. The commencement reception for students receiving their bachelor's degrees will be from 10:30 to 5 p.m. May 12 (Saturday) at the Gateway Center Ballroom.

Yummy Starts, a healthy eating program geared for kids with autism spectrum disorder, is helping kids with extreme selective eating habits. It's one of four behavioral intervention services offered at the Easter Seals North Texas Autism Treatment Program, a collaboration between the University of North Texas Department of Behavior Analysis and Easter Seals.
