DENTON (UNT), Texas – The Grammy-nominated One O'Clock Lab Band and other College of Music jazz ensembles will perform jazz standards, mariachi, steel drum and a variety of other music at the University of North Texas Showcase Stage April 24-26 at Denton's Arts & Jazz Festival.
Lab Band Madness, a fan favorite that features all nine lab bands, begins at 1 p.m. April 25 (Saturday) with the Nine O'Clock Lab Band and ends with the 9 p.m. performance of the One O'Clock Lab Band. Also performing on Saturday are the U-Tubes, UNT's premier jazz trombone ensemble, which recently won the International Trombone Association's Kai Winding Jazz Trombone Ensemble Competition. The One O'Clock Lab Band will also perform at 7 p.m. Friday, April 24, on the Jazz Stage.
