UNT forms partnership with Dallas Cowboys to increase awareness, create unique opportunities for students
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- A new partnership has been formed between the University of North Texas and the Dallas Cowboys which includes educational benefits for UNT students and an extensive advertising and promotional program designed to raise awareness of the UNT brand.

Recent UNT graduate wins Rotary Global Grant to attend London School of Economics
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- While volunteering for a nonprofit organization serving children in El Salvador, Ingrid Panameno, a recent University of North Texas graduate, began to realize the barriers the children faced to getting an education, including destroyed school infrastructures, lack of transportation and scarce school supplies.

UNT professor finds dual language incentive not widely used
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- A University of North Texas education professor's research revealed new insight into a state program aimed at encouraging students to learn multiple languages. The Seal of Biliteracy is an award given to students who prove they have attained proficiency in two or more languages by the time they graduate high school.

Men have highest risk for low self-esteem while using Tinder, UNT study finds
DENTON, Texas (UNT) -- University of North Texas researchers conducted one of the first studies of the dating app Tinder and have found that men are most at risk for lowered self-esteem while using the app. This finding is surprising compared to past research, which has shown that women's self-perceptions are most affected by visual media including magazines, television and social networking sites.

UNT leaders, students to visit Cuba
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- University of North Texas ambassadors – both faculty and students, as well as President Neal Smatresk – are heading to Cuba in May 2017 to pursue educational and cultural opportunities. UNT will be one of the first American universities to collaborate with Cuba.
