UNT Press honored by Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum Board

DENTON, Texas (UNT) – UNT Press is set to be honored April 30 (Saturday) with an award from the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum.

"I'm pleased that the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum has honored the University of North Texas Press for its commitment to publishing the finest Texas Ranger history," said Ronald Chrisman, director of UNT Press. "It is a testament to our authors as well, honoring their dedicated research and writing to bring the story of the Texas Rangers to a wider audience through our publications."

Those who decided on the honor said they are grateful to the University of North Texas and UNT Press.

The award reads, "In recognition of the commitment to the excellence by the University of North Texas Press in preserving and promoting Texas Ranger history through sustained publication of numerous associated volumes, the Texas Ranger Hall of Fame and Museum Board bestows this award for distinguished educational service."

The award will be presented as part of the Lone Star History Conference on April 30th (Saturday). Admission to the three-day conference is free and it will include renowned speakers and historians, as well as two authors whose books were published by UNT Press.
