UNT employees and first responder to be honored for saving faculty member's life

What: Three University of North Texas employees and a first responder will be honored for saving the life of a faculty member who suffered a heart attack.

When: 3 p.m. March 21 (Monday).

Where: The President's Suite, Level 4, in the University Union, located at 1155 Union Circle, Denton.

More information: The honorees, the heart attack survivor and a representative from Texas Health Denton all will be available for interviews.

DENTON (UNT), Texas -- On Jan. 15, R. Jefferson George, University of North Texas senior lecturer for teacher education and administration, suffered a heart attack in the Business Leadership Building. UNT faculty Doryce Judd, Jeanne L. Tunks and Jakob L. Vingren, and first responder Corporal Pete Uranga sprang into action, administering CPR and saving George's life. At 3 p.m. March 21 (Monday), the University of North Texas is hosting a reception to honor the heroes for their life-saving efforts.
