UNT Dean Kinshuk receives international award

DENTON, Texas (UNT) -- The University of North Texas College of Information dean Kinshuk (who goes by one name) is the winner of the 2016 Distinguished Development Award by the Association for Education Communications and Technology's (AECT).

"We are so proud that our College of Information dean is the winner of such prestigious award," said Finley Graves, provost and vice president for academic affairs at UNT. "This high honor truly shows how influential Kinshuk is and what a wonderful addition is he to our university."

The award is based on Kinshuk's accomplishments in the area of adaptive learning and dynamic student profiling. He will be presented an award plaque at a ceremony at the annual AECT convention in Las Vegas in October.

"I am honored and humbled to receive this prestigious award," said Kinshuk. "The research in adaptive learning and dynamic student profiling still has a long way to go, and this recognition will hopefully attract many more researchers to contribute towards the success of students' learning."

The AECT is a professional association of thousands of educators and others whose activities are directed toward improving instruction through technology. Past recipients of their Distinguished Development Award include some of the most prolific international experts in the field of educational technology from across the world.
