UNT’s student-run restaurant is open for business again

What: The Club at Gateway, a student-run restaurant at the University of North Texas, is back in business. From now through Nov. 29 (Thursday), patrons can enjoy gourmet, three-course luncheons.

  • The restaurant is part of a hands-on course for UNT students offered through the Department of Hospitality and Tourism Management.
  • The class serves as a real-life learning lab where students gain experience as business managers running a hospitality venue.
  • Students are in charge of everything – including menu planning, meal preparation, marketing, staff management and budgeting.

When: Seating for lunch is from 11 a.m. to noon, Monday – Thursday, from now until Nov. 29. The club is closed Nov. 21 and 22 (Wednesday and Thursday) for the Thanksgiving Break. The restaurant is not open on Fridays or weekends.

Reservations are recommended and will be held for 15 minutes.

Where: The club is inside UNT’s Gateway Center, located at 801 North Texas Blvd.

Parking: Free for diners, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., in the special event section of Lot 20 across from the Gateway Center.

Cost: $11 per person and includes an appetizer, entrée, dessert and beverage. Season tickets are $81 for nine meal tickets (discounted at $2 per meal). Cash, check or UNT interdepartmental transfers only.
