UNT’s College of Health and Public Service had several programs recognized. Its Master of Public Administration program’s specialties were recognized by U.S. News & World Report, coming in nationally at No. 7 in homeland security and emergency management, No. 12 in local government management and No. 31 in public finance and budgeting.
Other nationally ranked programs in the college include No. 12 in rehabilitation counseling.
The College of Health and Public Service offers nine master’s-level programs, including behavior analysis, emergency management and disaster science, public administration and speech-language pathology, in addition to online certification programs in areas such as behavior analysis and aging.
UNT’s College of Information saw new rankings this year with No. 6 in health librarianship and No. 20 in library and information studies.
The health librarianship, local government management and homeland security and emergency management programs were all ranked No. 1 in the State of Texas, with public finance and budgeting and library and information studies coming in No. 2 in the state.
Other national rankings for UNT this year include No. 59 for the College of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences’ political science program, which ranked No. 4 in the state, and No. 68 for the College of Engineering’s materials science and engineering program, which ranked third in the state.
