Google to host career workshops at UNT's Discovery Park

What: Google employees, including UNT alumna Cassie Chin, will host various tech talks with career-building lessons and opportunities for internships and full-time positions. The event is free for UNT students, but you must RSVP here to attend.

When: October 3-4 (Monday and Tuesday)

Where: UNT's Discovery Park campus, 3940 N Elm St, Denton, TX 76207

Workshops Offered:

  • Launching Your Technical Career: October 3 (Monday), 2 - 3:30pm, Room B-157
    Learn about internship and full-time opportunities available at the junior/senior level. Review the internship interview process and discuss technical skills and technical experiences that can help you be successful.
  • Google Resume Workshop: October 3 (Monday), 7 - 8pm, Room B-158
    Learn about what Google looks for in a resume and how to apply it to your own resume. Stay after the session for individual resume reviews!
  • Laying the Foundation for Your Career in CS: October 4 (Tuesday), 1 - 2:30pm, Room B-157
    Learn about internship opportunities available at the freshman/sophomore level. Review the internship interview process and discuss technical skills and technical experiences to work on to be successful. 
  • Interviewing at Google: October 4 (Tuesday), 7 - 9pm, Room B-158
    Learn about the Google technical interview. Review technical expectations, non-technical expectations, phone interviews, on-site interviews, common mistakes, types of interview problems and how interviews are evaluated.
