DENTON (UNT), Texas -- To better serve potential international students and the more than 1,000 alumni living in Thailand, the University of North Texas has opened an office in Bangkok to provide a base for recruiting throughout Southeast Asia as well as serve as a focal point for alumni.

DENTON, Texas (UNT) – College of Music jazz composition and arranging professor Richard DeRosa was recently named the new chief conductor of the Grammy award winning WDR Big Band, based in Germany. The appointment starts with the 2014-15 season.
Last fall, DeRosa traveled to Cologne, Germany, and spent 10 days with WDR Big Band while the band prepared and recorded music he had written.
