Experimental musician Yves Tumor to perform Sept. 14 at the University of North Texas

What: An Evening with Yves Tumor at the University of North Texas as part of the Mary Jo and V. Lane Rawlins Fine Arts Series.

When: 8 p.m. Sept. 14 (Tuesday)

Where: University Union Emerald Ballroom 314, 1155 Union Circle, Denton

Cost: Tickets are free for UNT students and cost $5 for a student guest ticket (limit one); $10 for UNT staff, faculty and alumni; and $15 for the general public. They can be purchased at UNTuniontickets.com.

Parking Info: UNT Parking Permit Holders: Please follow Transportation Services parking rules and regulations according to your designated pass.

Non-UNT Parking Permits: Hourly public parking is available at the Highland Street Garage. The garage is located at the corner of Central Avenue and West Highland Street with easy access to the Union via the West Highland Street entrance.

Background: Experimental musician/producer Yves Tumor will be performing at the University of North Texas.

Tumor is an artist who is self-taught in drums, bass, guitar and keyboards. They started making music at the age of 16 and released their first EPs in 2015 and their debut album, When Man Fails You, later the same year. Since then, the Italian-based artist went on to perform all over the world and create more unique sounds for their music.

Tumor is known for blending different styles of music together into a mind-warping sound. His most recent EP, The Asymptotical World, combines genres like hard rock and jazz and is based on their musical influences.

Although UNT does not mandate mask wearing on campus as per Governor Abbott, We REQUEST that all campus visitors comply with a new mandate from the city of Denton to wear a face covering indoors per CDC guidance for our region.
