DENTON (UNT), Texas - University of North Texas officials will break ground at 2 p.m. Oct. 28 (Saturday) on a new track & field and soccer stadium for North Texas Athletics.

UNT receives largest gift bequest, recognizes top donors
DENTON (UNT), Texas -- The University of North Texas announced today that it will receive the largest bequest in its history from the estate of Paul R. Voertman, the former owner of Denton’s iconic Voertman’s Bookstore and a local patron of art and music. Voertman died June 21, 2017, at the age of 88.

UNT students upcycle materials to create Halloween costumes and help a worthy cause
What: A unique Halloween exhibit featuring costumes made by University of North Texas design students will benefit the Denton County Friends of the Family, a local nonprofit. The costumes will be created from materials from the Friends of the Family Thrift Store, which assists individuals and families who are victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. DENTON (UNT), Texas ¾ The University of North Texas and Collin College will participate in Education Design Lab’s Seamless Transfer Pathways Design Challenge, a 15-month design process exploring ways for students seeking a bachelor degree to transition smoothly from a community college to a four-year institution.
