DENTON, Texas (UNT) – A psychology professor at the University of North Texas will join a White House panel dedicated to helping Latinas succeed in education.

UNT professor receives grant for research that could lead to alternative energy use
DENTON (UNT), Texas – Kent Chapman, Regents Professor of biological sciences at the University of North Texas, has been awarded a $650,000 grant by the U.S. Department of Energy Office of Science. The grant is part of ongoing funding from the DOE and will be used to study the cellular storage of lipids in plants.

Mean Greens, first all-vegan university cafeteria, celebrates 5th anniversary
DENTON, Texas (UNT) — What began as a way to satisfy the growing demand for more healthful food options at the University of North Texas blossomed into the country’s first all-vegan university dining hall.
And now, Mean Greens Café will celebrate its 5th anniversary on Oct. 14 (Friday) with a vegan feast, complete with live music, entertainment, games and more.
