UNT offers experts to comment on growing hostilities between the U.S. and Iran

The University of North Texas has several subject matter experts who can offer opinions and answer questions about the growing hostilities between the U.S. and Iran. Please contact Kris.Muller@unt.edu or Trista.Moxley@unt.edu for interview opportunities.

James Meernik is a political science professor and the director of the Castleberry Peace Institute. He is an expert in American politics, U.S. foreign policy, homeland security, large-scale human rights abuses and conflict resolution.

Michael Greig is a political science professor and an expert in international relations, international conflict, security, conflict management, international mediation, peacekeeping and the onset and termination of civil conflict. He can also comment on the risks of conflict escalation and war, stability in the Middle East and global security.

John Ishiyama is a political science professor and an expert in international politics (particularly Russia, Central Asia, North Korea and East Africa), ethnic conflict and politics, civil conflict management and peace science.

Idean Salehyan is a political science professor and the executive director of the Peace Science Society. He is an expert in international relations, conflict and peace-building, ethnic politics, protests and social movements.
