Activities:

Authored 11 articles for refereed journals and conference proceedings. Much of the published work focuses on the synthesis and characterization of ceramics. Prior to his faculty appointment, he worked for the U.S. Air Force employing sol-gel techniques to develop aerogels for chemical sensors. Current research includes collaboration with scientists at National Institute of Standards and Technology to characterize aerogel nanostructures using small angle neutron scattering.
