Contributed remarks for Catholic News Service on the ethics of nuclear energy following the earthquake and nuclear disaster in Japan in March 2011. Author of “A Rich Bioethics: Public Policy, Biotechnology, and the Kass Council,” which gives an overview of U.S. public bioethics and advisory bioethics commissions and analyzes President George W. Bush’s President’s Council on Bioethics, led by Leon Kass. Also the author of two chapters in the “Encyclopedia of Applied Ethics” and an introductory textbook on ethics and science.
