DENTON (UNT), Texas -- Prize-winning poet Dana Levin will start the spring Visiting Writers Series with a reading and book signing Feb. 7 (Thursday) at the University of North Texas. The series, which is sponsored by the Creative Writing Program in the Department of English, will also include nationally renowned writer Tiphanie Yanique.
The readings will take place at UNT's University Union, located one block west of Welch and West Prairie streets (1155 Union Circle). All of the readings are free and open to the public.

DENTON (UNT), Texas — Confirming the existence of the Hispanic Mortality Paradox, a new analysis of health studies, led by a University of North Texas psychologist shows that the Hispanic-American participants’ survival rates from heart disease and other medical conditions were substantially higher than that of the non-Hispanic white and African-American participants.
