UNT ranked among the world’s most sustainable universities
DENTON (UNT), Texas--The University of North Texas has been ranked among the world’s most sustainable campuses in the third annual GreenMetric Ranking of World Universities, which is compiled by the University of Indonesia.
UNT is ranked second in Texas and 110 in the world. Universities from 49 countries were included in the rankings, and rankings were organized based on factors such as water usage, waste management and education.

UNT enrollment increases
DENTON (UNT), Texas--The University of North Texas spring enrollment figures show increases in the number of continuing students, the number of freshmen and the number of doctoral students, which is again a record high. In addition, the number of courses being taken by the student body continued to increase. Together, these increases indicate a continuing focus on graduation.

University Union plans move forward
The Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board voted Jan. 24 (Thursday) to approve the expansion and renovation of UNT’s University Union. Construction is expected to begin in June 2013 with completion planned for June 2015.
The expansion and renovation of the University Union means UNT will be able to provide its growing student body with the space it needs to get involved with campus life.
A student’s level of involvement in campus life and student organizations – academic, cultural, service and social – has an incredibly high correlation to their success.
