DENTON (UNT), Texas -- The University of North Texas' Printing & Distribution Solutions won five awards at the 2015 In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association Conference, the nation's largest conference for print shops housed in larger organizations which they service.
PDS won four In-Print awards, the only awards given exclusively to in-plant printers. A team of jurors selected 67 winners from 400 entries in several different categories. Gold, silver and bronze awards (representing first, second, and third, respectively) were presented to the winners. PDS won the following awards:
- Gold in the "Magazines" category for the UNT Dallas College of Law magazine
- Silver in "Newsletters" for the UNT College of Music viewbook
- Silver in "Booklets" for the UNT College of Visual Arts and Design exhibitions and lectures booklet.
- Silver in "Brochures" for The Portal to Texas History brochure
In addition, PDS won the In-House Promotional Excellence Award for their work on UNT's promotional products such as apparel and bags. The award is given by the In-Plant Printing and Mailing Association and recognizes excellence in promotional campaigns.
