UNT hosting SatieRicon festival

DENTON (UNT), Texas ― The University of North Texas Institute for Advancement of the Arts, along with the College of Music, are presenting SatieRicon: Erik Satie at 150, a festival exploring the music of the late French composer and pianist. Events include:

  • 8 p.m. Oct. 11 (Tuesday) – “Satie the Mystic” with a pre-concert talk at 7 p.m. Both events will be held in UNT’s Merrill Ellis Intermedia Theater located in the Music Building at 415 Avenue C, Denton.
  • 7 p.m. Oct. 13 (Thursday) – “Satie the Satirist and Humorist” at UNT on the Square, located at 109 N. Elm St. in Denton.
  • 6 p.m. Oct. 14-15 (Friday and Saturday) – “Vexations” music marathon concurrent with “Moving Sculpture” featuring UNT Dance students and alumni at UNT on the Square, located at 109 N. Elm St. in Denton.
