Legendary trumpet player, Chuck Findley, to perform with UNT’s One O’Clock Lab Band

DENTON (UNT), Texas – The College of Music's One O'Clock Lab Band welcomes world-renowned trumpet player and studio musician, Chuck Findley, to the University of North Texas. Findley will perform with the One O’Clock Lab Band at 8 p.m. on Nov. 25 (Tuesday) in Winspear Hall in the Murchison Performing Arts Center, which is located at 2100 Interstate 35E in Denton.

"I am thrilled that our students get to perform with an artist of this caliber," said Jay Saunders, director of the One O'Clock Lab Band.

Findley has performed throughout Europe, Asia and the United States. He served as the lead trumpeter of "The Tonight Show" with the Jay Leno band from 1994 to 2001 and has been a regular collaborator on recordings with artists such as B. B. King and Steely Dan, and he has recorded with Miles Davis, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Elton John, Carole King, Tom Waits, Randy Newman, Tina Turner, a host of Motown artists and dozens of others.

"Chuck Findley is one of the most successful jazz musicians of our time. Not only is he one of the most in-demand studio musicians in the music industry, he also maintains an active solo career," said Saunders.
