Danny Armitage named UNT Associate Vice President for Auxiliaries Services

DENTON (UNT), Texas – Danny Armitage has been named the new Associate Vice President for Auxiliary Services at the University of North Texas.

"Danny brings a wealth of expertise with him," said Vice President for Student Affairs Elizabeth With,. "He has so much experience that there is no learning curve with him. There is a lot for him to do with a new residence hall in the works and he can hit the ground running. He truly is a great addition to student affairs and all of UNT."

Armitage spent more than 30 years at the University of Memphis, serving in many roles within student affairs. He was most recently the associate vice president and dean of students.

Armitage starts his new position on May 2. He said he looks forward to joining the UNT family.

"At a recent conference, I shared that I was joining student affairs at the University of North Texas," said Armitage. "I was then told I had just accepted the best job in the country."

Armitage received his Bachelor of Science in Speech Communication and theater from Austin Peay State University and a Master of Science in Counseling and Student Personnel from The University of Memphis.
