Member of the National Association for Gifted Children, the Texas Association for the Gifted and Talented, the American Heart Association, the American Physiological Society, and the American Federation for Clinical Research. Has authored or co-authored numerous articles and abstracts. Holds a bachelor's degree in biology from Oklahoma City University and a doctorate in physiology and biophysics from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine.
