Has served as an editor and translator for major publishing companies, including Harcourt Brace Jovanovich, Random House, The Lyons Group and the Psychological Corporation. Has conducted numerous workshops on issues of bilingual education and multiculturalism. Member of the National Council of Educational Opportunity Association and the Bilingual Education Association of the Metroplex. Holds bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of New Mexico at Albuquerque and a translator diploma from Mayor de Cundinamarca in Bogota, Colombia.
