UNT Libraries has entered into an agreement with The Dallas Way, a nonprofit organization dedicated to gathering, storing, organizing and presenting the complete history of the city’s gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community, to ensure that current and future materials collected by the organization will be permanently archived, digitized and made accessible to the public.
Joshua Urbanovsky of Granbury, a UNT student in the College of Business and College of Engineering, was honored as one of the state’s top business students at the Texas Business Hall of Fame 31st Annual Induction Dinner Nov. 14 in San Antonio. Urbanovsky earned a $10,000 scholarship, which he plans to use to help pay for his doctoral degree in computer science at UNT.
UNT will honor student creativity with the first-ever Sherman/Barsanti Inspiration Awards, made possible by a $350,000 gift from longtime UNT supporters Bob and Bette Sherman. UNT faculty and staff members can nominate students for the awards online through Feb. 1, 2014.
